Man City v Liverpool - confirmed television coverage

Last updated : 27 September 2002 By Kop Talk News

The Premiership clash between Man City and Liverpool will be shown live on foreign satellite channel Canal Plus.

With the right satellite equipment C+ can be received in the UK and various pubs do show live football at 3pm on Saturday's but it is VERY naughty. Landlords face fines in excess of £10,000 and even imprisonment if caught showing the games but that's not your problem is it :-)

You can either pile round to the KopTalk editor's house and watch it there or you can find your nearest boozer showing the game by making gentle enquiries in our First Team Forum at www.koptalkforums.com

Sky satellite quipment will not receive C+ regardless of any modifications, it is a completely different format. For details on how to treat yourself to some kit that will enable you to watch C+ at home, pop down to WH Smith and buy 'What Satellite' magazine, a monthly publication that will help point you in the right direction.

You would need to buy a large dish (size dependable on location), a digital satellite receiver with a Conax CAM. You would also need a genuine or pirate card. The pirate cards aren't reliable though and they can be zapped (ECM) during a game leaving you right in it!
