Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson is looking at recruiting Liverpool target Djibril Cisse according to reports.
The Auxerre striker is a major target of the Reds but the huge transfer fee, now quoted at in excess of £20million, stands in the way.
Rivals Manchester United will have funds to spend in the summer with the expected sale of several players.
