Marseille chairman makes Diouf claims

Bouchet believes that the huge depth of Premiership squads means that many former French league players will be loaned out to clubs on the continent. One prime example, according to Bouchet is El-Hadji Diouf.

Bouchet said: "Effectively the clubs are overloaded, they have far too many idle players.

"The case of Diomede is an interesting one and it is feasible that next season will see the return of a mass of players from England to France on year-long loan deals.

"Take for example the case of Diouf at Liverpool. If he finds himself fifth or sixth in the ranks of strikers next year, a move to another European club cannot be discounted."

It must be remembered, though, that the Senegalise international has played in Liverpool's last eleven fixtures and is showing his best form in his new wide role.

It seems that the Marseille chairman would hope to be a recepient of any move made by Diouf. He looks set to be disappointed if the player continues to play as well as he has done in recent weeks.
