McClaren comes crawling

McClaren will contact Jamie Carragher and ask him to change his mind about retiring from international football after John Terry picked up an injury that will rule him out for a month. Ledley King is also out for over a month.

Carragher decided to retire from international football after being continually overlooked by successive England managers despite being one of the best defenders in Europe. The last straw came when he was dropped in favour of third rate defender Wes Brown and then crock Johnathon Woodgate.

With Terry out of the friendly against Germany and the European Championship qualifiers against Israel and Russia McClaren will plead with the Liverpool defender to change his mind and bail him out.
