Former Liverpool ace Steve McManaman says he hopes the Reds can go on and win the Premiership title.
Although the Reds crashed to a 2-0 defeat this evening, Macca believes the result will have no bearing on our Premiership challenge.
"I wouldn't worry about this game if I was a Liverpool fan," said Macca.
"Whether you win 10-nil or lose 10-nil, it won't have any bearing on the outcome of the title in England.
"The players they've brought in look very good and Milan Baros - although bought last season - seems to have improved a lot. He gave us a lot of problems when he came on.
"Liverpool look very strong as far as I'm concerned and they're playing very good football. They were second last season and they've improved their squad this summer so hopefully they'll get the title this year."
