Midfielder sent for another scan

Liverpool midfielder Vladimir Smicer has revealed that he's still not ready for a return to action.

"I am still at least a couple of weeks away," said Vlad, who broke his toe while on international duty earlier in the month.

"I knew when I picked up the injury that it would be about a month before I could think of returning.

"It has been two weeks so far and it will be the same again, at the very least, before I can come back.

"I am going for a scan today to see if everything is coming along okay. My toe still feels very painful."
