Houllier was in France over the weekend watching him in action and Lille manager Pierre Dreossi has now confirmed Liverpool's interest.
The Insider team had been tipped off last week (Weds) that there was a planned scouting trip at the weekend but we were unsure as to the identity of the player concerned. We just knew that the boss was on his way to France and what game he was going to take in.
"Contacts will Liverpool are well-advanced," said Dreossi. "But we cannot sign anything before the transfer season starts officially on May 15th."
