Mista has been linked with a move to Liverpool and the rumours have increased since the departure of Michael Owen to Real Madrid.

However, the former Tenerife player is determined to stay in Spain.

"I am happy at Valencia, there are 11 months until my contract expires and we will be able to talk about it," he said. "There is no doubt I am going to fulfil my contract."
