Molby offered the board his resignation after Tuesday's 3-0 defeat to Ian Rush's Chester City which has been reluctantly accepted.
When Molby took over at Kidderminster the first time he got them promoted from the Conference in his first season. He then left to take charge at Hull but returned to the Harriers in October 2003.
