Morientes missed the Newcastle defeat because of a groin injury and was cup-tied for the Champions League game. However, the Spanish international has recovered from his injury and will play against Blackburn Rovers tomorrow.
"Morientes had a tight groin but it wasn't too serious. He's been training okay and he'll be fit for the next match," said Rafael Benitez.
