Morientes move in doubt?

Morientes is Rafael Benitez' preferred choice to replace the departed Michael Owen and the player himself has spoken of his desire to join the Reds but a move could be in doubt after Luxemburgo's comments.

"I don't like reinforcing the rivals," he stated. "Morientes joining Liverpool will be like helping an enemy.
 
"I want to speak with Morientes, to know what he is thinking.
 
"Later I will meet the club and we will decide."

If Luxemburgo cannot guarentee Morientes first team football however, a move to Liverpool may yet still be on the cards.
