Liverpool duo Danny Murphy and Jamie Carragher were not included in the final 23 man England squad for the World Cup finals when it was announced earlier today.
Leeds United's Danny Mills was preferred over Carragher (who is to undergo surgery in the summer - see news page) while Manchester United's Nicky Butt was preferred over Murphy, who is on standby incase Butt has to pull out due to his recent injury troubles.
Michael Owen, Emile Heskey and Steven Gerrard are included. They will fly to Dubai with the England squad on Monday for a week's training session and their partners are allowed to accompany them.
