Murphy not for sale - Houllier

Gerard Houllier has denied the weekend's newspaper speculation that Danny Murphy is set for an Anfield exit.

The reports claimed that Murphy was set for an £8million transfer because no new deal had been offered. The Liverpool boss however dismisses the claims as nonsense saying it's all about finding time.

"I've only been back a month and in that time we've had a game nearly every three days," said the boss.

"Danny knows he's in my plans and will play for Liverpool. He knows the progression he's gone through with me. I don't expect he'll want to leave."

We didn't report the Murphy speculation because we knew there was nothing in it.
