Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has been called into the England squad to face Italy after team-mate Steven Gerrard pulled out of the squad due to his groin injury.
Gerrard will still join-up with the England squad on Monday for a pre-World Cup medical test which all the World Cup hopefuls have to attend.
