Nando joins Valencia

Morientes joined Liverpool from Real Madrid in January 2005, but the Spanish international found it difficult to adapt to the demands of English football. He never managed to reproduce his Madrid or Monaco performances for the Reds and his poor form cost him his place in the Spanish World Cup squad.

Morientes has joined Rafa Benitez's former club Valencia for an undisclosed fee.
