New Bournemouth loan signing Nathaniel Clyne has revealed his frustration at his lack of playing time at Liverpool and has suggested his long term future may lie elsewhere.
Clyne has joined Bournemouth on loan until the end of the season and with Trent Alexander-Arnold becoming the first choice right back for Jurgen Klopp, Clyne is unlikely to get another chance to be a first team regular at Anfield and will likely move on permanently in the summer.
The right back said, as quoted by the Mirror:
The Cherries defender made his debut in a 3-1 loss at home to Brighton but is looking to "nail down" the right-back spot and be a regular in the Bournemouth team, and possibly not return to his parent club.
He added: “It is very frustrating. Knowing you are fit and you can go out there and play, but constantly not getting selected for the team is a bit disappointing.
“I would rather just go out and find another club which would give me the opportunities to play games. This is why I am here."

Clyne has made 77 league appearances for Liverpool and his new manager values his Premier League experience, having also played 216 league games for Crystal Palace and Southampton.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said after the FA Cup tie against Brighton on Saturday: “You wouldn’t have known it was his first game today. We had no doubts over him. His experience will be vital."
Brighton coasted past Bournemouth in the FA Cup with goals from Anthony Knockaert, Yves Bissouma and Florin Andone, with Marc Pugh's strike proving to be only a consolation.
