Neill likely to join Reds

Lucas Neill has refused to sign a new contract with Blackburn and is expected to sign for the Reds when the transfer window opens next month. The Rovers fans have turned on the Australian and Neill only half heartedly celebrated his winning goal against Nancy in the UEFA Cup last night.

Blackburn still want Stephen Warnock in exchange but with Neill available on a free transfer at the end of the season anyway, Liverpool hold all the aces in the transfer and will be unlikely to agree to Warnock's departure.
