New contract for Hyypia

After revealing yesterday he has no intention of leaving the club, Sami Hyypia is to be offered a new two year deal.

With Gabriel Paletta struggling to adapt to English football, Hyypia is the only cover Rafa Benitez has for Daniel Agger and Jamie Carragher. Hyypia wants to remain a Liverpool player and win the league with the Reds so is set to agree to the new contract.
