Liverpool-bound Salif Diao, sent-off while playing for Senegal against Denmark, has sent a request to Liverpool fans not to judge him on his performances at the World Cup finals.
"I just pray now that my colleagues can keep us in the tournament so it's not the end of the World Cup for me, and the end of Liverpool fans being able to watch me," said Diao.
"I am thinking about them and my move to their club all the time.
"I'd like Liverpool fans to realise that I can do better than in some periods of this game. Before the World Cup I was injured for a month with my club so it has taken me all this time to get myself fit, and I'm not 100% yet, maybe still only 75%."
