The club have refused to name who they are in talks with but it is almost certainly Villalonga.
"We are continuing discussions with a number of parties regarding a potential investment of new funds," said a statment from the club.
"Although the structure of any such investment is uncertain, it may include an offer for the entire share capital of the club."
The board are allegedly seeking a £200m valuation on the club and we expect further developemtns through the day.
