Bolton have been in talks with Liverpool over Ngog for the past fortnight and are now reportedly close to agreeing a £4m transfer as the club would be able to match the France Under 21's striker's Anfield salary.
Trotters boss Owen Coyle is hoping to complete the signing of Ngog in time for him to play against Manchester City on Saturday.
