No Angel at Anfield

Newly-installed Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez failed in a bid to bring the talented 28-year-old to his former club Valencia last season, and the Midlands club insist that the Spaniard will once again be thwarted should he move for Villa's 23-goal top scorer even though Angel has yet to sign a new contract with David O'Leary's men.

Villa chief executive Bruce Langham said: If he doesn't sign, Angel still has two years left on his contract so we are under no pressure."
