Liverpool have denied making a bid for Rovers ace Damien Duff, possibly because they don't want rivals Manchester United spoiling their plans.

"We have not made a bid for the player," claimed club spokesman Ian Cotton this aft.

Naturally Mr Cotton could be telling the truth but you'll have to be the judge of that yourself.
