While the majority of Reds fans unfortunate enough to witness the Peroxide-Blonde Portugese international's lacklustre displays at Anfield knew better then to take seriously the prospect of Xavier displaying his dubious talents alongside the likes of Zidane and Raul, the 31-year-old has made it clear that he will not be starring at the Bernabeau in the near future.
Xavier, speaking to Portuguese sports daily A Bola today, revealed: "I had absolutely nothing to do with the report in the Spanish newspaper."
