Nunez signs for Celta Vigo

Nunez, who arrived at Anfield from Real Madrid as part of the Michael Owen deal, failed to make the breakthrough at Anfield and was told by Rafael Benitez he could leave the club if they received an offer for him.

Celta Vigo have signed the winger according to their president Horatio Gomez.

"The operation with Liverpool for Antonio Nunez is closed," said Gomez.

"We just need to wait two days to receive all the documents from Liverpool. It is an excellent deal for us."
