The former Liverpool winger left the club to join Celta Vigo in the summer and has made an immediate name for himself back in Spain as he scored for Vigo in their shock 3-2 win over Real Madrid in the Bernabau. However, Nunez, who joined Liverpool from Real Madrid, says he will always be a Red and would like to return to the Premiership one day.

"I miss the city of Liverpool. I'm carrying on with my English. I've brought the satellite dish with me from England and so I'm still watching all Liverpool's games. I would really like to go back and play in the Premiership one day." he said.

"I'm still a Liverpool fan. I speak to the Spanish lads a lot and Liverpool will always be my second home. There will be a bit of sadness when Liverpool play against Betis. I know if things had gone differently I would have been involved.

"At first I wanted to stay and fight for my place even when Rafa told me I wouldn't play much. But we talked it through and he said he was trying to sign another right winger so I decided to leave.

"As it turned out they didn't sign anyone but I couldn't have stayed relying on that."
