O'Leary denies Anfield link

Speaking on a radio that that really doesn't deserve the time of day the chirpy Scottish chappy claimed to have heard from a reliable source that Gerard Houllier would be 'moving' upstairs come the end of the season to a technical role, with the snouted one taking care of the 'young inxperienced lads' at Anfield.

Even the most intellectually challenged Red could see it was utter bollocks, but nevertheless the man himself today strenuously denied the claims in the Irish Star, describing Brazil's ramblings as 'hilarious'. O'leary is infact staying put in Royston Vasey, all local like.

He said: "Speculation linking me with a move at the end of the season is complete bunkum.

"I've just arrived home from a golfing trip to Arizona to be told that the word on Merseyside is that I'm taking over at Anfield when Gerard Houllier moves upstairs to a tehnical role.

"There's no denying that I'm friendly with Gerard and I cherish that relationship. But to suggest I'm on my way to Anfield is hilarious.

"Right now I'm making the most of my break from management and waiting for the right job offer to arise."

Still, this is the perfect opportunity to drag up some typical O'Leary shite from the past, so here goes.

"If you go through all the young lads in the Premiership, there are not many with that sort of experience. It's great for them.

'For a team so young, we've had a fantastic amount of games against fantastic clubs in fantastic cities."

Cheers David, that's positively 'funtastic' to know.
