O'Neill rumours intensify

Parry, a presenter on TalkSport, told his audience that he has been led to believe that the former Leicester manager has already been signed by the Anfield club - despite the fact he has only recently signed a new contract with the Scottish side.

Parry is standing by his comments, stating that O'Neill's rolling 12 month contract with Celtic is 'worthless'.

He said: "That agreement is worthless. My source in Glasgow is impeccable and I'm the man who told everybody that Sol Campbell would be leaving Spurs to join Arsenal six months before that deal happened."

Parry's comments, of course, must be taken with a healthy dose of salt. Only a few months ago fellow TalkSport pundit Alan Brazil told his listeners that David O'Leary would soon be set for Anfield.

The question is, though, are Parry's words merely a cheap attempt to win ratings? or are they indicative of an underlying truth?
