The Republic of Ireland U21 midfielder opened the scoring when he cut in from the left before unleashing an unstoppable 30-yard screamer into the top corner, giving Canaries keeper Rob Green no chance.

The goal was cancelled out, however, with Paul McVeigh netting a late equaliser for Norwich.

In a busy first half for the winger Partridge found himself close to opening the scoring with just fifteen minutes gone, only to see his strike flash just wide.

Coventry, managed by former Red Gary McAllister, now move up once place from seventh to sixth into the playoffs as they attempt to reclaim Premiership status.

Partridge is tipped to continue his loan spell at Highfield Road when his current short team deal expires. His performances for the Reserves saw him awarded a new two year deal in April 2002.
