Other options besides Morientes

With Newcastle United declaring an interest in Morientes Real Madrid will hope to put Liverpool and the Geordies up against one another to push up the price of the player. however, Rafael Benitez says Liverpool will not pay a ridiculous price for the player and they have other options.

Benitez said: "We don't want to pay a lot of money for a striker, it's as simple as that. If we do sign a forward then it has to be at the right price.
 
"Morientes is an option but we have other options. There are a lot of players on the market and we will find the best one for us.
