Barcelona winger Marc Overmars has again rubbished speculation linking him with a possible summer move to Anfield.

The Dutch ace is available for transfer but he continues to insist that he wants to remain at Barca.

Speaking on his website, Overmars said: "All I can say is that when you aren't playing regularly, you aren't happy.

"I need more games for sure but at the same time, these stories that keep being made about me are nothing to do with me.

"I'm not thinking of a move at this particular moment no matter what you may read about me signing for Liverpool or Rangers."

In the same update, Overmars also talks about his close friend Jari Litmanen.

"I think Jari's main strength is that he is a real team player," said Overmars.

"I've rarely played with a guy that creates better chances for his team-mates.

"As a winger, he didn't just lay on good balls for me he also created so much space for me.

"Another of Jari's strengths is his ability to really turn it on in the big games. When we were at Ajax together and at Barcelona, he always loved the big occasions.

"I never actually roomed with him but I always enjoyed his company. He can be really funny and mischievous at times and I'll never forget how when he learned Dutch, something he did extremely quickly, how he also instantly grasped how to be very amusing in Dutch. He picked up all the jokey words and curses very quickly!"
