Overmars said: "I have heard that there are more rumours in the English press saying that I am to join Liverpool when the transfer window opens in January in exchange for John Arne Riise. I'd like to take this chance to say that I know nothing about this and I have not been approached by the club.
"I am settled in Spain and my only concern is to work hard for Barcelona so that we can get out of this current crisis. I have only just returned to the squad after five months out with a knee injury and I am still in the process of establishing myself back into the first team. This is my focus and I have no thoughts about any club other than Barcelona and making things good for us in La Liga."
