Owen aiming for Leeds return

The in-form goal-getter will miss Tomorrow's Premiership clash at Portsmouth due to the leg injury incurred in the defeat to Arsenal on October 4th that also ruled him out of England's fiery draw in Turkey last week.

While both club and country have coped well without the mercurial talents of the 23-year-old thus far, Gerard Houllier is hoping that his star striker will make a speedy return to first-team action.

Houllier said: "The target was for him to play at Portsmouth but that isn't going to be possible. The injury is perhaps a little worse than we originally thought but I am hopeful he will be available again next weekend against Leeds."

Who will lead the attack in Owen's absence?
