Owen dreads Champions League failure

The 23-year-old has scored in each of his last six Premiership games, his best ever league run, to keep Liverpool within touching of fourth placed Chelsea. Owen knows that his goals will be of the utmost importance if the Reds are to win their final four games and claim a place amongst Europe's elite:

Owen said: "I hate the thought of coming back for training in the summer without the Champions League to look forward to. That's where all the best players and the best teams play and we want to be involved.

"We feel we have players who are good enough to be playing at that level, but it all depends on what we do over the last four games of the season. We know what it will take to get us there."
