Owen faces morning fitness test

The prolific 23-year-old England international has missed the Reds last two games after suffering ligament damage against Premiership leaders Arsenal three weeks ago and is still thought to be a major doubt for the must-win meeting with Peter Reid's struggling Yorkshire side.

While the Reds must wait on the potential availability of Owen, fellow England star Danny Murphy will be ready for selection following his return to first team action for the reserves this week.
