Owen final inspires Hyypia

Liverpool were set to lose the 2001 FA Cup final until two Michael Owen goals in the last eight minutes turned the game around and gave the Reds victory. Arsenal would have been out of sight before Owen's double however, if Sami Hyypia had not cleared off the line three times to keep Liverpool in the game. Hyypia says that victory is the perfect motivation ahead of the 2006 FA Cup final.

"It was one of the most incredible games I've played in. To be dominated for 80 minutes and then score two goals to win the cup was amazing," said the Finn.

"Everyone remembers how glad we were after that game. Thinking back to that match just gives me extra desire to win the FA Cup again.

"We've got a great opportunity to win another medal and bring the cup home.

"We're all desperate to win it and everyone is concentrating hard on Saturday.

"We won't underestimate them but if we play like we have done in the last few months we should be okay.

"We've improved a lot from last season. We've been more consistent and we're moving forward. A cup final is a bonus and we're delighted to be involved."
