Owen said: "We played West Brom early in the season and they were really tight defensively so I did not expect to get so much room.
"Going into the game I didn't really think about the record but it's nice to have it. I'm delighted. There aren't that many players who have reached 100 so to be in that company is marvellous.
"But I won't start thinking about 200 goals until I start getting a lot closer to it."
