"I was desperate for us to get through and play Celtic because my uncle Terry, who was a massive Celtic fan, died just two months ago and there are sentimental reason for me and my family to go to Glasgow," he told the club's official website.
"There are a lot of Scottish connections on my Dad's side. I attended my uncle's funeral and he was a big supporter of me and Liverpool as much as Celtic. He followed Celtic everywhere so it will be a very emotional night for me."
