"I would have loved Liverpool to have been drawn against Real Madrid," said Owen.
"I was watching the draw yesterday and hoping it would happen, but now I think it would be even better if we meet later in the competition. That will mean we've both got through.
"It would be a strange feeling going back to Anfield playing for another team though. That would seem mad. But I hope it happens."
