Owen: We'll cope without Beckham

The 23-year-old, who will take Beckham's captain's armband in his fiftieth appearance for his country, feels that the nation's youngsters will rise to the occasion in the absence of the Barcelona-bound star.

Owen said: "We will miss him, there's not too many players that captain the side like him or are as a good player as he is.

"But we can certainly cope without him. There are some bright youngsters coming through and I am sure they will take that chance with both hands. We have enough to win the game."
