"I think he will re-sign and I'm very hopeful he will be with us next season," said Parry.
Parry went on to reveal that the club will be consulting Owen and other players as they look to replace Gerard Houllier.
"There will be some dialogue with senior players," he added. "It won't be so much in terms of individuals but what they see as being the right qualities and how they think we should be going forward."
