"In my eyes, that Portsmouth game was probably one of my lowest points ever," said the Liverpool striker.

"It was one of the most frustrating I have ever played in. The manager was under pressure from outside influences and I missed a penalty.

"That day was as bad as I've ever felt. I was so low I just wanted to wrap the season up there and then.

"I'm obsessed with playing for Liverpool and scoring goals. I love doing what I am doing, I see it as a joy.

"Scoring goals gives you the best feeling in the world. I don't do it because I have to score goals, I do it because I love it."
