Owens not worried about league position

The Reds' youth side are currently bottom of their nine team league, level on points with Stoke and Bolton, yet Owens is not too concerned at the moment, confident his side can turn things around starting at Wolves today.

"We will try to get two good results together if we can. It is something we haven't managed yet," says Owens.

"We are near the bottom of the league, but the strange thing is, is that if you look at the four leagues around the country our points tally of nine points would put us third in some of the divisions.

"We are obviously in the strongest area. We always have been with the two Manchester clubs, Blackburn, Crewe, Everton and we always play the North East clubs. We have a stronger fixture list and that is to our benefit in the end. But obviously it makes it tougher in the league."
