Parry confident about New Anfield

The Liverpool chief executive is under pressure to raise funds for the new build as costs appear to be escalating to almost £190million.

If not, the club clould lose grants worth £20m from the EU and the Northwest Development Agency.

"There is a lot of work going on and the situation is coming to a head relatively soon," said Parry.

"We are certainly looking at a matter of weeks and it is still something we are determined to bring off. Too much work has gone into it for us to fail at this hurdle."
