Parry dismisses embargo rumour

This morning's Independent newspaper claimed Tom Hicks and George Gillett have put in place a transfer embargo which will prevent Rafa Benitez adding to his squad during the January transfer window. However, Rick Parry has shot down the story.

"I can say that this is absolute rubbish," said the Liverpool Chief Executive.
