Parry happy with Champions League draw

Liverpool will play Besiktas, Porto and Marseille in the group stages of the competition, as they look to become European Champions for the sixth time.

"I think the groups are pretty evenly spread," he said. "I don't think there's any one group you'd look at and wish you were in it. I guess on that basis we feel comfortable enough.

"Turkey is a long way but we've avoided some of the more gruelling trips, and of course we have happy memories of Istanbul as well.

"We'll renew acquaintances with two Liverpool old boys in Marseille, Bolo Zenden and Djibril Cisse, and we also know Porto well after travelling there one or two times over the past couple of years.

"At the end of the day you take anyone, we're just delighted to be there."
