Partridge can't fly the nest

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore had felt that the 23-year-old Irish winger was the ideal candidate to add much needed flair and guile to his team but Gerard Houllier feels that the player is needed at Anfield.

Partridge, who has yet to make a Premiership appearance for Liverpool, will be hoping that the Frenchman's decision will hand him the opportunity he needs to revitalise his flagging career at the club.
