Partridge completes transfer to City

Liverpool winger Richie Partridge has completed his initial one month loan transfer to Coventry City and it looks like he will be thrown straight into Gary McAllister's side for their game against Millwall.

Partridge, a former £500,000 target of Manchester United while at Liverpool's academy (before his promotion to Melwood), has been denied a proper run at Anfield due to the high quality of imports brought in by Gerard Houllier.

The Irishman was tipped to be Liverpool's next best thing but as yet, he's failed to break through. A serious injury nearly forced him out of the game and his body frame saw him deemed too "light" for the Premier League. However, this season the Irishman looks bigger and better and this loan move will certainly be monitored closely by Gerard Houllier.

Although no world star at the moment, Partridge is certainly no worse than some players that are continually used on the wings at Liverpool to no effect.

Partridge still contributes to KopTalk but we don't get on his case pressing for updates as naturally we want him to concentrate on his career.
