Partridge hoping to stay

Partridge's contract is up at the end of this season but the club have told him there will be a new one offered to him in the summer.

Partridge missed most of the season through injury but hopes to be fully fit again in time for pre-season training.

He said: "It's obviously been a worry that my contract is up this summer and I haven't been able to prove I should get another one because of my injury.

"But the club have been good to me and I was told earlier in the week that they'd sort something out for me for next season. That's good news.

"I'm just concentrating on getting fit now. It's a long process but I hope to be back running in time for pre-season."

To date Partridge has made one first team appearance, in the 8-0 win over Stoke in 2000.
