Partridge may go on loan again

Partridge made his Anfield debut in the Carling Cup 4th round tie against Middlesbrough last week, 142 days after his only other Liverpool appearance, away at Stoke in the same competition during the treble season.

Partridge may be in contention for a place in the team that will face Spurs in the quarter finals next month but after that he expects Rafael Benitez will want him to go out on loan somewhere.

"To be honest, I haven't had many in depth conversations with the boss about my future. I think he would like me to go out on loan again though," says Partridge.

"My long-term ambition is to stay here at Liverpool but I agree that it would do me good to get some more first team experience under my belt. I'm aware that Rotherham and Nottingham Forest have expressed an interest but at this stage it's gone no further than that.

"I would however like to stick around for the Spurs match in the Carling Cup. After playing in the previous round against Middlesbrough I'd love another chance to show what I can do.

"I didn't realise it was that long between my first and second appearances for the first team but it was well worth the wait just to run out in front of the Kop."
